Drama

In KS3 pupils work on many different topics. The main aim in all of these is to build the confidence of the individual. They also learn and practice working as a team and working in groups. They also get the chance to work with people they may not ordinarily work with.

In KS4, pupils work in a similar way to KS3, but the subjects are more age appropriate. Most pupils (94% last year) achieve A*-C at GCSE, and drama is always oversubscribed. We take trips to the theatre and the Theatre Museum, as well as inviting Theatre Companies into school to perform.

The drama dept is responsible for an annual whole school production as well as small dramatisations throughout.
