6th Form Introduction

St Michaels 6th Form starts on the 5th of September 2011

St Michael’s Sixth Form Open Evening on the 4th of October 2011!

Year 12 Induction Week will be on the 4th to the 7th July 2011. Normal College times will apply.

St Michael’s Sixth Form

Staying on for the Sixth Form at St Michael’s will give students the chance to learn and achieve in an environment which is already known to them and in which they know they can succeed and do well. The courses offered will be limited, with a view to expanding the number of courses in future years in partnership with Sacred Heart School.

We aim to offer a supportive environment with more one-to-one support and personalised learning than is often available at larger institutions such as sixth form colleges. Our hope is that we can bridge the gap between the more structured and supportive environment of school and the independence necessary for success and university and in employment.

From September 2011 St Michael's is hoping to expand its pathfinder Sixth Form to include more courses. This is with a view to eventually setting up Sixth Form provision in partnership with Sacred Heart School. This further expansion is currently in the consultation process and is awaiting final approval. We will keep you updated on further developments.
